西安丝路国际会议中心项目已经正式落成。2017年，gmp·冯·格康，玛格及合伙人建筑师事务所赢得了西安丝路国际会议中心的设计竞赛，与同为gmp设计的国际展览中心一起组成了会展中心建筑群，是陕西省贸易和产业发展的核心项目。位于东侧的会议中心地上总面积为12.8 万平方米，提供会议空间、展览空间及多功能空间，它将填补西安及西北地区大型专业会议中心场馆的市场空白，可满足国际高峰论坛、双边及多边会议等大型会议和宴会的功能要求。
Construction of the Silk Road International Conference Center has been completed. In 2017, the Architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners won the competition for the conference center which, together with the Silk Road International Exhibition Center, also by gmp, forms the Center for Trade and Industry of Shaanxi Province. Situated on the eastern part of the site, the conference center?with a total floor area of 128,000 square meters above ground?offers conference, exhibition, and multifunctional facilities for international forums, as well as for bilateral and multilateral summits, and thus is the largest integrated conference center in the north-west of China.

方正对称的屋面、均衡的水平向立面比例、理性规整的柱式是对中国古典建筑特征进行转译和传承。会议中心建筑以200米见方的正方形平面，与向内凹进的弧线立面形成均衡大气的建筑体量。全玻璃幕墙环绕的通透的首层空间，可通过水面之上的连桥到达，建筑整体呈现悬浮的景象。这种轻盈的状态是通过独特的悬挂结构体系实现的：会议中心选用了核心筒+桁架的悬挂结构体系，满足会议功能要求的无柱空间，同时桁架向外挑出形成宽大弯曲屋面。下月牙悬挂的内凹幕墙，形成宽敞友好的入口空间。在外立面，通过屋顶桁架悬挂的180 根超纤细钢柱实现，它们的柱高在30-40米之间，直径仅为0.6米。当月牙形被照亮，会议中心成为了西安滨河的标志景观。
The sweeping symmetrical shape of the roof, the measured horizontal facade proportions, and the column pattern are understood as references to traditional Chinese architecture. The concave, retreating curved glass facades and the half-moon-shaped upper and lower parts of the facades give the square structure, with its 200-meter-long sides, classical and elegant proportions. The glazed first-floor level above the platform with steps down to the water makes the building appear to float. The sense of weightlessness is achieved by using an unusual suspended construction. A grid of steel beams spans the cores, thus creating large congregation and exhibition spaces without columns. In addition, the steel beams project beyond the cores, forming the sweeping verge of the roof. Suspended from this is the lower, half-moon-shaped arch that forms a generous entrance situation. The suspension is achieved using 180 elegant steel columns with lengths of between 30 and 40 meters and a diameter of 0.6 meters that provide a dynamic structure and emphasis to the facade. Viewed from across the river, the internally illuminated white half-moons appear as a landmark for Xi’an that can be seen from afar.

西安在历史上作为丝绸之路的起点，号称十三朝古都，因兵马俑闻名中外。作为新丝绸之路的重要基石之一，在西安市东北部兴建的西安丝路国际展览中心及国际会议中心，均由gmp·冯·格康，玛格及合伙人建筑师事务所担纲设计。会展中心建筑群是陕西省贸易和产业发展的核心项目，以其独特的建筑语汇诠释西安的城市肌理，展望新兴经济纽带的繁荣未来。
Xi’an, which is known for its terracotta soldiers, served thirteen of China’s dynasties as capital and once was the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. As an important component of the New Silk Road, the Silk Road International Exhibition & Convention Center has been erected in the north-east of the city. The building complex, created under the lead management of Architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners, forms the center for industry and trade of Shaanxi Province and, in its architectural language, is intended to combine the local context with the vision of a new economic region.

会展中心项目的一期工程现已竣工，起伏层叠的曲线屋顶以轻盈的丝巾为设计灵感，并结合由石质墙体构成的坚固基座。与流线型的展厅屋顶相对应的是大跨度出挑的登录厅屋顶，气势非凡，依照严谨的几何秩序而错叠的屋面，由高达30米的十字柱支撑。在二期工程中，展览中心建筑群将往北面扩展，沿着主轴线新增六个展厅单元，并补充一个大型的入口建筑，整体展厅规模将再翻一倍。
The first building phase of the exhibition complex has nearly been completed, revealing the basic design idea of creating an analogy with a silk scarf that represents the roofscape, in combination with a solid stone plinth as supporting base. In contrast to the gently curved roofs of the exhibition halls, the far-projecting canopies of the entrance halls feature a rather more monumental design. The geometrically exactly staggered decks are supported on 30-meter-high cross supports. In the second construction phase, the volume of the exhibition complex will be doubled, extending it towards the north. Along the central circulation axis, six further halls and a second prestigious entrance building will be built to replicate the pattern of the southern entrance to the overall complex.

每个标准展厅面积约10000平方米，净高13米，可根据需要进行组合；南侧入口的两个超大展厅净高为16米，面积超过16000平方米，也可以举办大型活动。展会观众将通过开阔的公共广场进入门厅空间，两个入口大厅之间设置两条平行延伸的双层长廊，其两侧设有商业、餐饮、会议室等辅助功能。上层通廊跨越一二期工程之间的道路，来访者可以不受天气影响到达会展中心的各个部分。
If required, the exhibition halls, with a square area of about 10,000 square meters each and a clear height of 13 meters, can be combined; in addition, the two halls at the southern entrance, with a height of 16 meters and a square area of approx. 16,000 meters, can be used for large events. The two entrance buildings, which are surrounded by generous public spaces, are linked via two-story corridors with retail areas, gastronomy, and meeting rooms. The upper link spans the street between the first and second construction phases and makes it possible for visitors to reach all parts of the exhibition center under cover.
