Over the past couple of days, Algebrica has seen an unexpected wave of attention on X. Many people have discovered the project and shown appreciation, and that truly means a lot to me, especially considering that I’ve been working on it for more than two and a half years almost entirely in silence, without sharing it on social media.
Some of you raised an interesting point about opening the project to a community. It’s something I’m thinking about and I’ll see how it evolves over the next few months. For now, it remains a personal project that I work on in my spare time, with its obvious and inevitable limitations.
The content is still limited and so is the coverage of topics. Writing a single entry takes a significant amount of time, and moving from Italian to English is particularly challenging for me. Concepts that feel clear in Italian don’t always translate naturally into English.
As explained in the editorial guidelines, I use Grammarly to help with syntax and clarity, but some of you pointed out that the result can sometimes sound a bit unnatural to native speakers. A community could help improve this as well as catch mistakes that I may miss. Some I notice, some you point out, and others probably remain hidden within the content…
I’m not sure what direction the project will take yet but I hope it can be an example for anyone who wants to build something personal simply to share knowledge, without any commercial goal, just for the sake of it.
